What do Tampa Bay area wedding photographers do during the summer?

Florida summers....gotta love them....right? (insert sarcastic emoji here hahaha) The heat, the humidity, the rain, the red tide, the flooding, the mosquitoes....the list can go on and on.  With that said, due to the crazy  weather we have here in Florida during the summer, it's generally a slow season for weddings. So, what do Florida wedding photographers do during the summer?  For us is a time to reflect, organize, learn, and improve our skills and processes in order to provide a better photography (and music) experience for our clients!

Here's some cool things that we did during this slow wedding summer season:

• We took time to fine tune our off camera lighting techniques and even got some exciting new gear to help achieve some amazing results!
• Learned tons of tips and tricks from the Lighting and Posing workshop by the Professional Photographers of Central Florida society in Orlando. 
• Improved our Photoshop digital painting skills via workshops from our friends at the Professional Photographers Guild of Mid Florida,
• Learned some amazing tips from the travel fine art photography duo of Victoria and Terrence from Follow Me Away, also networked with some fellow photographers from the Tampa Bay area.
• Did some commercial photography work for Shepsky and Company, a local Lakeland small business, by providing photographs for their website and social media.
• Got sample wall art from professional photography labs to provide top of the class products for our clients.
• Worked on adding a more songs to our harp music repertoire.

As summer ends, we start getting busy again. What's next?

• With better weather, we have multiple photo sessions coming up starting in late August.
• A styled photo shoot for a brand new wedding venue in Lakeland!
• Once again, we'll be the official photographers of the fall Florida Wedding & Bridal Expo in September.

For weddings, this year we have a very busy fall schedule with over 10 weddings between October and December! We are super excited and looking forward to apply the things we worked on this summer and give our clients the best service possible for their wedding day.
