![]() THE ENGAGEMENT SESH! This is one of my favorite times with our couples. Why? Because we get to make and capture some amazing memories at an epic location in Tampa Bay! Think about it...you will be married for a long time (well...hopefully haha), but you are only engaged for a very short period of time. So the engagement photos are a very important part of the memories! As we start the engagement session planning, one of the most common questions we get is....what should we wear for the engagement photos? That is a very good question. For that reason, we provide our couples an exclusive engagement session style guide that will help them plan their outfits depending on the theme and location! But, I will share here 4 tips that will help you determine what to wear for your engagement session, and if you book with us, we'll share the full 25 page Engagement Session Style Guide with you! Tip 1 - Know your body. You want to be comfortable, so your outfits should fit just right! Whatever you pick, make sure it's not too small or too large. Don't feel pressured to wear something you are uncomfortable in, we want you to be happy and smiling for the photos :) So, make sure you take this into consideration when selecting your outfits. Tip 2 - Classy, sporty, elegant...it's all up to you! There's no right or wrong answer with the style you want to go for with your engagement session. One thing I can tell you is that whatever style you go for make sure you both are in unison (both classy/sporty/elegant, etc.) Also, you don't have to stick to just one style...change it up! It's totally ok to bring a change of clothes so we can do dress down and dress up photos! Tip 3 - Color is EVERYTHING. Generally you want to avoid bright, vibrant, all white, and neon colors because they will reflect on your skin. Instead, you should opt for colors like navy blue, army green, burnt orange, mustard yellow, blush, gray, tan, light pink, red, and light blue. These colors tend to photograph fantastic and make you pop on the photos! Color coordination goes a long way so make sure to plan for this ahead of time. Tip 4 - Accessorize it! Add some interest to your photos by including accessories & props that mean something to you both. From hats, sunglasses, flowers, jackets, to books, blankets, and of course my favorite...pets! Let's have some fun and make this something special, bring the props that mean something to you both and we'll capture them in your engagement photos! These are just 4 of the many tips you will find in our 25 page Engagement Session Guide Style Guide we give to our couples! The guide also provide additional tips on makeup, hair, where to get outfits, timelines, location ideas, what to do with the photos, and much more! We want to make sure our couples are prepared and feel super comfortable on their epic engagement session. At the end of the day, all that really matters is that we make and capture some awesome memories together so you can cherish them for a lifetime!
