Kayla and Kenny chose to get married at Phillippi Estate Park in Sarasota. It was my first visit to Phillippi Estate Park as a wedding photographer, it's a stylish venue that allowed me to bring the best of each moment.
One of my favorite moments of the day was when I was photographing Kayla getting ready at Edson Keith Mansion. I captured Kayla as she had her hair and makeup done. It was a perfect afternoon to photograph Kenny getting ready with his friends for the wedding. Kayla and Kenny cemented their union in a very lovely ceremony at Phillippi Estate Park grounds just outside the mansion. My wife added the touch of romance for the ceremony with the sounds of the harp. I couldn't ask for a better job than being a Tampa Bay area wedding photographer and ceremonies like this one remind me why I do what I do. After the ceremony the wedding party enjoyed a lovely reception at Edson Keith Mansion. The venue served drinks and everyone had an incredible time. I began searching for moments that would help to tell the story of the day. Spring weddings let me get the best of each moment. It was a mainly cloudy day, making the light very soft, which is a godsend for a photographer. There was some rain later in the evening, which it means good luck! Kayla and Kenny decided to have the speeches before the meal, so everybody sat down after the reception and awaited the speakers. You hear so many speeches doing this job, but they are always different. The only left to do was to get everyone on the dance floor and rock out to the tunes coming from the DJ! It was a long time in the planning but Kayla and Kenny pulled off an incredible wedding and I hope they have a happy life together. Check out some photos and a video courtesy of Rod Baker Video. Looking for a wedding photographer in Sarasota? Contact us today! I was overjoyed to photograph Katherine and Billy's wedding a few weeks ago. They were married at Manatee Village Historical Park in Bradenton which is in Manatee County, Florida. It was such a joy to photograph a wedding at Manatee Village Historical Park, I hope to come back soon. I enjoyed capturing Katherine's story as preparations begun in the morning at the church bridal room. I got to photograph wonderful moments as the bride, mother of the bride, and maid of honor interacted during preparations. To develop a complete picture of the wedding, the groom's prep story must be told. So I also photographed Billy, his best man, and father of the bride, as they got ready nearby in a separate grooms room. It was an honor for friends and family to witness Katherine and Billy's big day at the 1887 Old Meeting House Church. It's moments like this that make my job as a wedding photographer so rewarding. Katherine and Billy shared a few moments with their guests before heading to the reception just outside the church at the courtyard. The guests were chatting happily, as they were delighted by the harp music played by my wife Kristen Elizabeth. As always, capturing the dynamics, moments and stories of the day is my main goal. The season can really have an impact on a wedding and I find Spring weddings are some of my favorite. The day was bright and sunny, which lit up the courtyard nicely through the big oaks, and it helped make the photographs nice and bold. Once the wedding meal was finished it was time for the speeches to begin so everybody got ready for some lovely words from the maid of honor and best man. The speeches are a happy part of the wedding and a joy to photograph as a wedding photographer. You couldn't wish for a more perfect day for Katherine and Billy and I wish them all the best. Check out their highlight video with some of their favorite photographs of their day. |
