Top 5 Downtown Lakeland Florida Locations for Engagement Pictures

Lakeland Florida is probably one of our favorite small towns in the Tampa Bay Area.  Not only did I spent most of my life living in Lakeland, but it's a town full of history, beauty, charm, and character.  Although we no longer live in Lakeland, we still consider ourselves "lakelanders" :).  Lakeland is the perfect town to get married at.  There's tons of super cool wedding venues and a downtown that offers some of the best locations for engagement sessions.  Here are our favorite top 5 best places to take engagement pictures in the Downtown Lakeland area:

Number 1 - The Loggia at Lake Mirror.  This location is just SPECTACULAR and with the right lighting equipment you can have some EPIC images like the one below that we took for Carolina & Ryan. 

Number 2 - Lake Mirror / Hollis Gardens.  Lake Mirror and the Hollis Garden area offers some beautiful scenery with the lake and Downtown Lakeland in the background just like this beautiful image we took of Tessa & Harry.

Number 3 - The Murals.  Downtown Lakeland is full of beautiful murals painted by amazing local artists that make for some stunning backdrops for your engagement session photos.  Like this mural by Gillian Fazio found on the Gaines Jewelry building on Tennessee avenue.  Here's a list of all of the murals in Lakeland, FL. 

Number 4 - The Alleys. There are tons of alley ways throughout downtown Lakeland that offer a nice urban look with brick walls and if you time it right, you can have beautiful sunset light to make some really nice engagement photos.  David asked Mara to marry her in one of these alleys and I was there to capture it! :)

Number 5 - The Shops.  There's no better way to enjoy Downtown Lakeland than supporting the local businesses in the area.  So, while taking engagement photos, stop in and get a coffee, snack, or buy a thing there to support locals!  That's what we did with Rebecca & Gosbani, we got some delicious coffee from Black & Brew!
