A few weeks ago I was at Shayla and Preston's fantastic wedding ceremony. They took their vows at Cross Creek Ranch in Dover, Florida. I was thrilled to photograph a wedding at Cross Creek Ranch. It is an excellent location for weddings, I hope to come back soon. Being a wedding photographer in offers great opportunities to work with lovely couples like Shayla and Preston in fantastic locations like this one.
Shayla got ready at Main House on the morning of the wedding. I really enjoy photographing bridal prep as it gives you a chance to get to know the bridal party a little better. For this wedding, my friend Andrea Jackson from New Ground Photography helped me out as a second photographer and popped in on Preston while he got ready at Groom's Cottage.
Shayla and Preston tied the knot at Enchanted Forest and it was a emotional ceremony among family and friends.
During the wedding reception we photographed some portraits and formal photographs. It was a lovely atmosphere and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Photographing the reception was interesting and heartwarming. So many moments were caught!
This was a fantastic Spring wedding and we made sure we got some lovely portraits at the venue. There was a lot of cloud about on the day, but clouds create the softest light, and that really helps create flattering photographs.
I really enjoyed photographing Shayla and Preston's special day and I'm sure they will be really happy together. Take a peek below at some of the images from their wedding at Cross Creek Ranch!

Photographing Alison and Bryan's big day was so much fun! Alyson and Bryan decided to have a non traditional wedding and when they told me about their plans I was more than excited since it's something we don't get to experience of photograph often! They held their wedding at Ulele, located in Downtown Tampa. It was the first time I photographed a wedding at Ulele, it's a great venue right by Tampa's Riverwalk that allowed me to bring the best of each moment.
I started the day photographing Alison at The Barrymore Hotel. I photographed her having her hair and makeup applied and getting the final stages of her preparation. It was so cool seeing all the details of this renaissance type of wedding with hand crafted medieval jewelry and dresses.
Once we got to Ulele, friends and family looked on as Alison and Bryan exchanged rings in a fantastic ceremony right on the riverfront while my wife played their favorite tunes on her harp!
Ulele was decorated beautifully based on Alison and Bryan's love for role playing games, cosplay, and medieval/renaissance. The guests were chatting happily, as they enjoyed drinks of their choice while I was still on the lookout to catch fantastic moments on camera.
Alison and Bryan created a fantastic day and it was a joy to share it with them.
This unique wedding was a success thanks to the amazing work of Rachel Dummeldinger with Ardour Complete Events! Take a peek at some of the images from the wedding below.

Alexandra and Steve had a fantastic wedding a couple of weeks ago. Knotted Roots on the Lake is located in Land O'Lakes was a perfect choice for the wedding.
The day began with me photographing Alexandra while she got ready at the bridal house. I really enjoy photographing bridal prep as it gives you a chance to get to know the bridal party a little better. My wife photographed Steve's preparations over at the guys super cute vintage silver trailer.
Once they were prepared, they took time to do a first look with the bridal party...Alexandra and Steve got super emotional as they saw each other for the first time. We love first looks because it gives us extra time to take additional portraits of the bride and groom, giving them more time to spend with each other later after the wedding.
It was a cloudy day and it obviously had the bride and groom worried about possible rain, but the clouds eventually left and the sun came out at the same time as the bride was walking down the aisle to the romantic music of the harp..perfect timing! They spent the wedding reception mingling with their guests and enjoying the moment.
As well as having a thoroughly fantastic day, it was just a joy to photograph Alexandra and Steve's wedding and I just know they will build a fantastic life together. :) Enjoy the highlight video and the images below from their wedding!

It was a pleasure photographing Samantha and Scotty's wedding ceremony. They took their vows at Historic Dubsdread Ballroom in Orlando, Florida. It was such a joy to photograph a wedding at Historic Dubsdread Ballroom, and I couldn't wait to photograph there.
All wedding stories begin with bridal prep and Samantha's story started at her house. She began getting her hair and make up done, those first few hours were the perfect way to start her story.
Once all the prep had finished Samantha arrived at the ceremony in a limousine bus (with her bridesmaids and family) and took a deep breath as she made her way towards the venue. The ceremony was a fantastic service amongst close family and friends at Dubsdread outside terrace and Samantha and Scotty were in their element. Ceremonies like this make my career as a wedding photographer in a very enjoyable job.
The reception was very warm, colorful and welcoming. The drinks flowed and the atmosphere was full of happiness and joy. I started photographing the story unfolding as the guests enjoyed the wedding and mingled.
Everyone love a good fall wedding, and I'm no exception. The sun came out for the day, which was really nice to see, and it just meant everyone could get some fresh air on the day.
Samantha and Scotty had scheduled speeches before the meal. Some of the best reactions are photographed whilst the speeches are being delivered...especially the speech from Samantha's dad who literally stole the show as he unraveled a long scroll when he got ready for his speech lol Everyone had a great laugh! At the end of the day, Samantha and Scotty rocked the dance floor accompanied by their guests, courtesy of the amazing team of Soundwave Entertainment DJs.
You couldn't wish for a more perfect day for Samantha and Scotty! Take a peek at their wedding slideshow below and some of the photos from their day.

Katie and Alex were planning their dream garden wedding at Sunken Gardens for a while. We were super excited to be a part of their planning as we got ready for their intimate family wedding. But, when the day came, a tropical storm put a hinder at their plans and they had to move their garden wedding indoors. Non the less, we were ready for it to make sure we helped them feel at ease and that we will be able to capture some beautiful pictures of the wedding.
Sunken Gardens rightfully moved the ceremony indoors into their second floor banquet hall. The decorations were perfect and there was a nice backdrop of the gardens through their impressive, big windows. As the ceremony was getting to start, Kristen played the harp to set the mood and get everyone ready.
During the ceremony, Katie and Alex filled out a Scrabble game with their names and their kids names - such a great idea! After the ceremony, we looked out and we saw there was a little break in the weather, so we headed out for some quick photos in the gardens. So glad we did!
Overall, even though sometimes things may not go as planned, we are ready for any challenge that may arise and we will be there for you and help you through those challenges and still capture the loving memories. Here are some heartfelt words by Alex & Katie:
"These people are superhumans!! I had no idea when we hired Jose and Kristen that they would end up being such an irreplaceable component in our wedding. Not only were they an excellent support in planning and the time leading up to the wedding but they bravely battled a tropical storm (and MANY other adversaries throughout the duration of our ceremony) right along with us. They felt like the family you’d choose... if you had a choice 😉I will be forever grateful for their teamwork, flexibility and perseverance. They saved my day!! Thank you is not enough❤️" Katie & Alex, Sunken Gardens Wedding
That review made our day...maybe our year! Take a look at Katie and Alex's wedding slideshow and some images of their indoor Sunken Gardens wedding below. If you are looking for a wedding photographer in St. Petersburg Florida, contact us! We would love to be a part of your wedding :)
"Easy to work with, so sweet! Very personable! I worked with the husband and wife and I had a great experience! Both very sweet people, took great photos and harp was amazing! I’d definitely recommend!" Rosaria & John, Clearwater
I was privileged to photograph Rosaria and John's wedding recently. The Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa, located in Clearwater, was a perfect choice for the wedding. This was the first time I got the chance to visit Hilton Clearwater Beach as a wedding photographer, but I really loved working there and I can't wait to photograph another wedding there soon. Working with couples like Rosaria and John, photographing the magic moments of their day in venues like this, remind of how lucky I am as a wedding photographer.
I always start the day by photographing the bride getting ready. Rosaria began her preparations at Hibiscus Spa of Clearwater. She had her hair and makeup finished and I photographed the story as it developed. As John was getting ready, I decided to focus on his story and the moments shared with his friends and family.
The wedding ceremony was initially scheduled for a sunset beach ceremony, but the rain had it moved inside at one of their banquet halls. Even with the rain cancelling the beach ceremony, we sneaked out while the rain was gone for a few minutes to take a few sunset photos!
The reception was decorated beautifully and was the perfect spot for the newlyweds to welcome their guests. There was a feeling of happiness and joy in the air as everyone enjoyed themselves. I started photographing the story unfolding as the guests relaxed and mingled.
A delicious dinner was served and once people had finished, everyone got ready to hear the speeches. Every speech is unique and I never get bored of photographing them. Once the evening began the guests had a great time dancing to the tunes of a live band. What a way to end the day.
All in all I had a blast at Rosaria and John's wedding and I felt buzzing by the time I left.

Recently I had the honor to photograph Summer and Jared's beautiful wedding ceremony. They took their vows at The Orlo in Historic Downtown Tampa, Florida. It was the first time I had worked at The Orlo, it's a great venue that allowed me to bring the best of each moment.
Summer began getting ready for her wedding at The Orlo so I went along to begin photographing her story. Photographing Summer as she prepared for the day was an exciting way to begin the story. To develop a complete picture of the wedding, the groom's prep story must be told. So my second photographer photographed Jared at the Floridan Palace in Downtown as he got ready.
Family and friends were happy to witness Summer and Jared tie the knot. Ceremonies like this make my career as a wedding photographer in Hillsborough county a very enjoyable job!
Joy and contentment were evident on everyone's face while at the reception. The guests and the couple had a great day. It was a lovely atmosphere and everyone really enjoyed themselves. I photographed all the activities taking place at the reception.
Tampa Bay area weddings let me get the best of each moment. The day was bright and sunny, which made Summer and Jared really happy, and meant we could all spend some time outdoors.
All guest sat down to listen to speeches. Every speech is unique and I never get bored of photographing them. At the end of the day, Summer and Jared rocked the dance floor accompanied by their guests, courtesy of the DJ.
I really enjoyed photographing Summer and Jared's special day and I wish them all the best. Take a peek at the slideshow below and some of their wedding photos.

We loved photographing Melissa and Glen's wedding! They picked a stunning venue to get married in. It was The Howey Mansion in Howey-in-the-Hills, in Lake County, Florida. We haven't captured a wedding at The Howey Mansion before, and being at such a beautiful mansion brought out the artist in us so seamlessly. It is always an amazing experience capturing magical moments in venues like this when working with stylish couples like Melissa and Glen.
Melissa chose The Howie Mansion to get ready on the morning of her wedding. I captured Melissa as she had her hair and makeup done. As Glen was getting ready, my wife (who also assists me as a second photographer when not playing the harp) decided to focus on his story and the moments shared with his friends and family.
It was amazing to watch Melissa and Glen demonstrate their commitment to each other during their ceremony in front of their family and friends at grand entrance steps of the mansion while my wife played the harp.
Joy and contentment were evident on everyone's face while at the intimate dinner and reception. The guests and the couple had a stylish day. There was a joyful vibe during the reception. You couldn't wish for a more perfect day for Melissa and Glen and we wish them heartfelt congratulations. Here is the list of the amazing vendors who made this fairytale intimate wedding become a reality for our bride and groom:

When Lizelle reached out to us about their destination wedding in Anna Maria Island we were super stoked! The Anna Maria Island and Bradenton Beach area has amazing sunsets and we loved the opportunity to capture their celebration of love.
The ceremony and reception was organized by Beach Breeze Weddings of Sarasota. The decor was perfect for a sunset beach wedding! Lizelle and Johnny decided for a very intimate ceremony with family and friends. We couldn't have asked for a better weather. After we the ceremony, we took photos with the sunset then everyone continued the celebration at Bridge Street Bistro for an intimate dinner.
Amazing memories for an amazing couple. Thank you Lizelle and Johnny for letting us be a part of your day! Enjoy the slideshow and photos below of their beautiful destination wedding in Anna Maria Island Beach.

Kristen and Jason's wedding at the beautiful boutique wedding venue of Casa Lantana in Brandon, Florida
We drive past Casa Lantana in Brandon almost weekly. See, we live very close by and consider them neighbors, so when Jason and Kristen told us their wedding venue was Casa Lantana we were more than excited! Both the bride and groom got ready at Casa Lantana. The venue is very well designed giving each one an area for themselves to get ready. Casa Lantana in general is the perfect location for a wedding in Florida - and their staff is extremely professional, accommodating, and super friendly! It has different ceremony sites to choose from, making it even easier for couples who are undecided in the type of ceremony they want.
Jason and Kristen wanted a first look and it was magical! When it was time for the ceremony, my wife got everyone in the wedding mood as she played the harp when guests arrived. The ceremony was so beautiful under a big oak tree and the sunset in the background. You could feel the emotion as both Jason and Kristen read their vows. After the ceremony, Kristen entertained the guests inside Casa Lantana as she played the harp while they mingled and got drinks and I spent some time with the couple taking their photos at the venue's beautiful grounds.
The reception followed with lots of dancing, beautiful speeches - including very emotional ones from the bride and groom - and of course, some dancing! The night ended with a sparkler exit as the couple were driven out to their honeymoon destination. Once again, thank you Jason and Kristen for letting us be a part of your day.
